The Kinderplace camp experience extends beyond the boundaries of campus. Each session includes real world, hands-on fun and learning to complement the exciting activities happening in the classrooms. Campers get the chance to partake in such stimulating educational adventures as hayrides at a local 4-H farm, climbing aboard a clipper ship at Kid City, or flying to Mars at The Children’s Museum. Kinderplace Place campers also participant in excursions to the Hartford Public Library for story hour. Transportation for all off-campus trips is provided by the University of Hartford’s shuttle bus.
In addition, a variety of on-campus field trips are scheduled each session. Whether it’s going to Auerbach Theater for the final performance by Summer Place campers in the acting class, a visit from The Children’s Museum with some furry friends, or watching campers climb trees to zip-line through the branches, each unique adventure adds to the overall camp experience!
